3-Day Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park Safari via Dar es Salaam

Your journey begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer to the ferry terminal for the boat journey to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, you will be met by your safari guide and begin the scenic drive toward Nyerere National Park, passing through local villages and rural landscapes, offering a glimpse of everyday Tanzanian life.
When arrive will go to the lodge/camp for lunch and time to rest.
In the late afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour evening boat safari outside the park, operating from 4:00 PM until sunset along the Rufiji River. This peaceful experience allows you to observe hippos, crocodiles, and rich birdlife as the river glows in golden sunset colors. After the safari, continue to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive inside Nyerere National Park. Spend the day exploring vast savannahs, river channels, and wildlife-rich plains, home to elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and diverse bird species. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park, allowing you to maximize wildlife viewing before continuing with afternoon game drives. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Begin the day with an early guided walking safari from 06AM, offering a close-up experience of nature while learning about animal tracks, plants, and the ecosystem from an armed ranger. Then back lodge/camp for breakfast.
After breakfast, enjoy a Maasai cultural experience, interacting with the local community and learning about their traditions and lifestyle.
Then back lodge/camp for the lunch and little resting while preparing for pick up to Mtemere Airstrip.
Later, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar. When arrive Zanzibar our driver will be there for drop off, marking the end of an unforgettable safari adventure.
